CHERISH MARIE 

Welcome, my name is Cherish I am a beauty professional from Kennebunk Maine. I started my journey many years ago in the fashion and beauty industry, I grew up as second eldest of 6 sisters in this amazing town I call home. At a young age i had a desire to work in a boutique and help women feel and look there best. I worked locally through high school, in many different local businesses finding my passion for the industry. Photography, makeup artistry, assist boutique stylist, waitress and more. In 2009 i attended beauty school in Portland Maine and completed the cosmetology program. During my time in school I won various awards for up-styling and graduated top of my class.  After graduation I set my sights to the west coast where I continued my education for a year as an apprentice in a busy high end salon in Albuquerque NM. During my time in ABQ I found a love for Hair Extensions. I had many opportunities  to travel the west with my mentor and assist in teaching classes. Ultimately my heart and family drew me back to Maine.

 

After a very successful 4 years in a local salon and day spa, and welcoming my first son in 2014. I decided to venture out on my own and open, Uptown Curl. Over the years I have successfully accomplished many goals both personal and professional. Owning and operating a sustainable green salon and spa, expanding into a  boutique. Continuing education for myself and my team, mentoring many amazing stylist along the way. I find myself  longing for a more independent journey, The Brand Cherish

 

In 2022 My husband Frank, son Isaiah and I welcomed a fourth family member into our hearts. Baby Dakota is our rainbow baby, the second child I never saw coming. Boy are we blessed! During my time off over the past year I took many days to reflect on my career and happiness. I started making clay earrings to sell. Art something other than a human canvas i had become so firmillar with over the past 14 years of my life being a stylist.

 

I am a creative human. I thrive off of my artistic talents and passion to create things that bring people joy. Hair is my longest standing and most accomplished medium. Everyday I work in the salon, I create customized and personalized styles to match each clients vibe. I love using the color wheel to perfect the perfect tone, and my arsenal of shears to carve the most natural style with ease. Hairdressing is my medium of choice. It's an honor to create a wearable self expressing style for each of my guests. I do it with, and for confidence, and joy.
